Reuse and recycle - these cups from Cuppacoffeecup tick those boxes.
This cup is designed by Janine Milligton - Pohutukawa Kiwis.
Why a Cuppacoffeecup?
They are a New Zealand-made reusable takeaway coffee cup. Reuse your cup instead of disposing of a cup every time you have a takeaway coffee. The idea behind these cups was to create a reusable cup that is lightweight, with striking full colour imagery and looks and feels much like a disposable cup.
When this cup comes to the end of it's life both the cup and lid can be recycled. A win win. Plus they are made and designed right here in New Zealand.
Each year it is estimated that 295 million disposable cups are used in New Zealand, even higher than in Australia. Many disposable cups cannot be recycled because they are lined with plastic. Also a significant environmental cost in manufacturing disposable cups. Even compostable disposable cups cannot be composted without the correct facilities.
